May 07, 2026"This was so good! Not great if you are trying to watch the salt content but if you want some delicious Senegalese food, this place did the trick! Please keep in mind that I know absolutely nothing about Senegalese food standards, but my friend who is a first generation West African descendant and more familiar with the cuisine said she thought the food was great. At the very least, it was yummy to this uncultured American girl! The atmosphere was a bit dark for my liking but the place was clean and the portion sizes were wonderful. Great value, just not for less adventurous eaters."

Mar 24, 2026"Friendly Senegalese restaurant in Harlem with tasty, traditional food and generous portions, though the amount of fish with the tieboudienne is a bit small relative to the amount of rice. The atmosphere is typical of what you would experience in Senegal, including the TV channels. Customers chat with each other, sometimes across tables, while waiting for their meals. Don’t be surprised that not every dish on the menu is available every day. Look at the daily specials section to see what they have that day. (Every Senegalese restaurant I’ve been to does this, but this is the only one I saw with the daily specials list.) I brought a friend who had never had Senegalese food before and she liked both dishes."
